Help for Food Safety Awareness CampaignProject progress
The adulterated and poor quality food sold in the open market contains a high content of chemicals, which cause damages to the human body when consumed. The chemicals, which are carcinogenic in nature, result in cancer. It has been noted by Breast Cancer Specialists in SKMCH that incidence of Breast Cancer has increased in the younger age group of 20-40 years which is rare in the developed countries. The social and economic cost of the disease to the country is immense and no facts and figures are available.
Food safety awareness is being carried out through social media to inform the communities regarding the significance of safe food. The first food item AAHD has conducted research on is SAFE MILK.
